BR-5 Zombies in Tokyo

イメージ
You live and work in Tokyo. Tokyo is a big city. More than 13 million people live around you. You are never alone, but you are always lonely. Every moning, you get up and take the train to work. Every night, you take the train again to go home. The train is always crowded. I was so scared while I was reading it. I think that if the story is true, I want to go out of Tokyo as soon as possible. And I think people around me suddenly become zombies, I must pass out. I saw a movie on the Inernet that a person took a terrible medicine and had a fit like zomby. The story of the book maybe true.  This book is in the Atama-ii Books series. The illustrations of the book is so scared. And some of  things in the story are real. I recommend that everyone read this book. Boon, Andy. (2014). Zombies in Tokyo. Florida: USA

BR-4 The Garden

It was six o'clock. I was tired. It was time to go home. I did not like my work in the shop. I often had headaches and my feet were always tired. The streets were hot and busy. Everybody was going home. Their face looked sad. (p.3)  Like that girl, I like flowers but I haven't grown them on the balcony. So I want to try to grow them. I was surprised that the girl never gave up while she was abused by her father. And then, I think flowers have powers to change lives of people. Flowers can make people feel relax. That is a good ability.  This book is in Heinemann Guided Readers series. It has good illustrations, and I felt relax when I read it. I want to recommend it. Laird, Elizabeth. (1979). The Garden . BR-3 Ricky and the American Girl

It was only five to four but it was already getting dark. Ricky was walking home from school, his bag hangingalone and  over his shoulder. He wasn't listening to his MP3 or chatting with friends. He was alone and he was doing calculations in his head-maths calculations.(p.11)  Some of people often feel lonely like him. But I think he doesn't worry about it because he has a good thing to be absorbed in. I'm so envious of his ability. If I have it, I use when I go shopping or take some tests.  And I'm so happy because he found some delights.  This book is in Helbling Languages series. The illustrates are so clearly and it is easy to imagine the scene of the story. And the book has not only sentences but also comic pictures. I think the idea is good. Hobbs, Martyn. (2007).
