It is summer. The air is hot. It is hot inside Lia’s house. Lia lives with her mother, her father and her brother, Jay. Her grandmother lives with them too. (p.3) I have never read the story. Lia’s grandmother looked so sad because her husband was dead. If I were in her situation, I think I was so sad like her. But the well made her and her family happy. I want to get the well because there are some gold in the well. This book is in the Macmillan Readers series. It has very nice illustrations. I recommend that everyone read this book.
