BR-8 The Mill on the Floss

 Dorlcote Mill was on the River Floss. The mill was a mile from the town of St Ogg's. Edward Tulliver was the miller. He livd in the house next to the mill. (p.8)


The main character named Maggie is a beautiful and intelligent lady. However she is lonely and unhappy. I was interested in the reason why she is so. And Maggie and Stephen Guest fall in love. So I was envious of the relationship of the two.

What Was It Like?

Today I read What Was It Like?, a book in Oxford Reading Tree series. It was written by Roderick Hunt. The children were excited. They were going to take part in a play. It was all about the history of the town. The play was goung to be held in the park, and the children had to rehearse their scene. " I hope we don't forget what to do, " said Chip. The students experienced the war. I think it was good chance to feel areal situation of the war. A lot of people suffered from it. But now we can't experience. my weekend's memory

I had a Takoyaki party with Sawako last weekend. We went to a supermarket to buy octopus, doughnuts, some snack food, and chicken. Then We went to MacDonald and bought french fry. A lot of Takoyaki we made were very delicious but we were full soon. And then we stayed up later night and sang with large voice. We enjoyed that party.
