I heard the following curious story from a railway acquaintance. He was a gentleman of more than seventy years of age, and his good face and sincere manner put the stamp of truth on eveything he said. (p.11) I think that suddenly an elephant disappears, people living in the place may feel scared because sometimes elephants are violent. In this story, someone stole the elephant. I want to know how to do it. In addition, I want to know how much is it if I buy an elephant. Twain, Mark. (2007). The Stolen White Elephant. Helbling Readers Classics..

When I called on my friend, Mr. Sherlock Holmes, one day in the autumn of last year I found him in deep conversation with a fat, red-faced gentleman with bright red hair. (p.11) This is a short story from the sherlock Holmes adventure. The main character is interested in the job for which the extrarodinary reward is presented and starts work. But one day, his workplace dissapears. So he begins to investigate the reason. The end of the story is very surprising. So I recommend to read it. Doyle, Conan Arthur. (2007). The Red-headed League. It's the first day of summer. The twenty-first of June, like so many days of the year in England, is often cloudy, or wet, or windy, or 'not too bad'. But today is a lovely summer's day. The sun is shining. The fields are bright green and yellow in the morning light. And birds are singing in the trees. (p.11) The main character wants to be a great detective. One day someone stole the bike and he tried to find the criminal.  I think that many people wanted to be the detective when they are young. I tried to become it too. The profession is cool. However, I don't know the salary. I expected that it is low. So now, I don't want to become it well. Hobbs, Martyn. (2007). David and the Great Detective. Helbling Languages.
